I believe I have found a bug in the Windows Phone 7 OS. Several users have reported the issue and I have been able to reproduce it in my application and also in a very basic test application. Deleting text from a textbox occasionally crashes my applications
with a generic exception containing 0x8000ffff. To reproduce the error:
1. Create a new Windows Phone Application
2. Add a Textbox to the MainPage.xaml with the Text set to "Smartphone Reviews, News, and Video - pocketnow.com"
3. Run the application
4. Move the cursor to right before the 'p' in "pocketnow.com"
5. Hold the down the delete key. When the cursor gets to the end of "Smartphone" the app will crash approximately 50% of the time.
If anyone can provide a workaround or point me to a bug report site for Windows Phone 7, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Josh Rox
